Nakano Shokai Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yamato Holdings, has hired three candidates from Vietnam for mid-sized truck driver positions under Japan’s
Specified Skilled Worker (i) visa program.
Before beginning full-duty operations, the candidates will study Japan’s traffic regulations and everyday living manners, while gaining hands-on experience through support duties alongside Japanese drivers. They are scheduled to officially begin driving operations in June 2026.
This marks the first case within the Yamato Group of hiring foreign truck drivers through the Specified Skilled Worker program.
It is considered one notable initiative amid the logistics industry’s ongoing struggle with chronic driver shortages.
Regarding the recruitment and training of Specified Skilled Workers,
Yamato has entered into a partnership agreement with
CAMGLOBAL Inc.
For talent placement and daily life support services,
a contract has been signed with
BEITRE Co.,Ltd.
