To all international students who are considering working in Japan,
In Japan, many things start in spring — the academic year, corporate fiscal years, and new careers.
Recruitment activities for April 2027 entry have already begun. To avoid falling behind, it is important to start gathering information now.
Already, about 40% of Japanese university students have secured job offers (according to the employment information company Career-tasu).
Recruitment for Specified Skilled Worker (SSW), Technical Intern Training, and the upcoming Training & Employment programs is also expected to begin full-scale interviews around the summer of 2026.
As seen in the movements of Japan’s stock market, companies are expanding their investments. Among those investments, human resources are being given significant importance.
For those who wish to work in Japan, April 2027 entry may be the best timing.
While continuing to study Japanese, I recommend participating in several job fairs to explore a wide range of companies.
Most events are designed for international students, but some offer online consultation options as well, so it is worth taking part.
Below are some of the major job fairs for international students aiming for April 2027 entry.
